What is
good design?

Good design aims to accomplish something good. It does not agonize to meet quarterly reviews by any means necessary nor does it lose sleep over award shows. Good design solves problems that alleviate human suffering. It does not reinforce addictive user experience models nor does it beg speeding drivers to risk diverting their attention. Good design inspires personal responsibility. It does not ignore landfills overflowing with award-winning products nor does it forget to account for those we seldom consider. Instead, it works to solve problems that benefit all of us.
